Abstrax

Presented at Radian gallery in San Francisco's South of Market District and co‑curated by Joseph Abbati, The show brought together eleven emerging and mid‑career San Francisco artists each working in distinct modes of abstract expressionism. Abbati’s curatorial vision emphasized rigorous experimentation within abstraction, showcasing works that range from gestural texture to color-driven compositions. The exhibition underscored how abstraction remains a dynamic and evolving language in Bay Area art, reflecting both personal and emotional narratives through non‑representational forms.

Zodiac Series

Myke Reilly’s Zodiac Series made a striking impression during the one-year anniversary celebration of Casa Aurora in San Miguel de Allende. Presented as a central feature of the event, the series explored the twelve astrological signs through a bold, contemporary lens, blending mythological symbolism with Reilly’s signature style—vivid color palettes, expressive forms, and layered textures. Each painting invited viewers to reflect on their cosmic identity, while the full series together created a dynamic visual dialogue about archetype, personality, and the stars that guide us. The exhibition not only honored the creative spirit of Casa Aurora but also deepened its role as a hub for visionary art in the heart of San Miguel.

Emanate

Presented by Circa Gallery--Minneapolis, MN

8 of Reilly's minimalist abstract and figurative paintings, notably featuring the sand-on-canvas work Kromera, whose ghostly textures subtly “emanate” ethereal motion across the gallery walls. The 8 modern abstract pieces married simple organic forms that demonstrated his move towards figurative artwork—textured reliefs with figurative forms that seemed to pulse with a quiet, almost spectral energy—a defining characteristic of his visual language.

Circa Gallery Summer Salon

Myke Reilly’s brutalist painting "Terra Firma ll was featured in the front window at Circas 2019 Summer Salon in Minneapolis, MN. Reilly’s work in this exhibition evokes tension using harsh black and white contrasts and industrial inspired forms. They suggest an emotional weight of memory and perception without relying on literal representation. At once spontaneous and deeply composed, Reilly’s contribution stands out as a powerful reflection of contemporary abstraction’s ability to communicate the intangible.
